Orion

Orion, A restomod forged in stardust and distortion

Orion was born from a constellation of passions: classic Porsche lines, the saturated riffs of progressive metal, and a fascination with cosmic phenomena. Based on a 1987 Porsche 911 3.2, this bespoke Porsche 911 Restomod is the result of a creative dialogue between Machine Revival and its future driver — one that blends instinct, precision, and a deep love for the unusual.

More than just a car, Orion is an expressive, baroque, and thoroughly personal creation, crafted with the same spontaneity that fuels a late-night jam session or a flash of cosmic light.

Design

Its Slash Purple paint shifts like the winter sky, casting fiery or icy tones depending on the light. Subtle yet striking, Orion stands out with gold aluminum wheels, perforated door handles, and yellow headlights — details that nod to a rebellious, rock-inspired aesthetic. Inside, the atmosphere feels like a backstage dressing room: deep purple Alcantara stretched across the seats, dash, and roll cage, accented by iconic seat grommets, custom-made guitar-style knobs, a turned wood shifter, and a three-spoke steering wheel. Every element has been composed to resonate — visually, materially, emotionally.

Performance & Feel

Beneath the stage presence lies a naturally aspirated 3.2L flat-six engine pushing 250 horsepower, fitted with individual throttle bodies and a custom stainless steel exhaust system. The result is a mechanical symphony: deep, rich, and aggressive when called upon. At low speed, the car hums with tension; under full throttle, it screams with clarity. Weighing just 960 kg, Orion is light, lively, and unapologetically alive. It’s not a tribute — it’s a performance. This restomod 911 was made for drivers who hear the road as much as they feel it.

A Machine Revival signature creation

Orion is not simply a restored Porsche — it is a complete Machine Revival creation, conceived, engineered, and built entirely within our atelier.
From the first design sketches to the final mechanical tuning, every aspect of the car was developed by our team of coachbuilders, engineers, mechanics, engine specialists, and master upholsterers.

Built upon the timeless architecture of the Porsche 911, Orion represents our vision of the modern Restomod: preserving the spirit of the original machine while reshaping it through contemporary craftsmanship and engineering precision.

Every line, surface, and mechanical component has been reinterpreted to create a car that is both faithful to its heritage and unmistakably new — a true Machine Revival signature.

Engine & mechanical character

At its core, Orion retains the legendary air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six, carefully rebuilt and calibrated within our workshops. Delivering 250 horsepower, the engine preserves the unmistakable character of the classic 911 while offering reliability and responsiveness suited to modern driving.

Paired with a manual transmission, the powertrain maintains the pure mechanical dialogue between driver and machine — a defining element of the Machine Revival philosophy.

Lightweight construction and meticulous mechanical preparation allow Orion to reach a remarkably low weight of just 960 kg, ensuring a lively, engaging driving experience where agility and sensation take precedence over raw numbers.

Chassis & dynamics

The chassis has been carefully reworked to enhance precision and balance while maintaining the inherent character of the original platform. Suspension geometry, structural rigidity, and braking systems were all refined within our atelier to deliver a driving experience that feels both authentic and sharpened.

The result is a car that feels alive and responsive, capable of being driven daily while retaining the dynamic purity expected from a Machine Revival creation.

Exterior design – purple slash

Orion’s exterior expresses both elegance and attitude. Finished in Purple Slash, the bodywork highlights the sculptural tension of the 911 silhouette while adding a bold contemporary signature.

Every panel has been prepared and finished by our coachbuilders, ensuring a level of precision and depth that reflects the artisanal standards of the atelier. The iconic proportions of the 911 remain intact, yet Orion carries a presence that is unmistakably its own.

Interior – craft and precision

Inside, Orion reveals the work of our upholstery and interior specialists. Alcantara and machined aluminum define an atmosphere that is both purposeful and refined.

The cabin remains focused on the driver, with clean instrumentation and tactile materials that reinforce the mechanical connection between human and machine. Each stitch, each surface, and each component has been carefully considered to create an environment where craftsmanship and performance meet.

A restomod meant to be driven

Orion was conceived not as a museum object, but as a machine designed for daily use. Reliable, engaging, and deeply mechanical, it reflects the essence of the Machine Revival approach: building cars that can be driven, enjoyed, and lived with.

More than a reinterpretation of a Porsche icon, Orion stands as a unique expression Machine Revival’s craft. A singular machine shaped by passion, engineering, and the pursuit of driving emotion.
